Google Voice=AWESOMENESS
Imagine having one telephone number that will automatically allow your friends, family, and business associates to reach you no matter your location. Let’s just say you have an office phone #, home phone #, and cell phone #. If you set up a Google voice number, people can call that number and it will automatically ring all of your numbers, enabling you to abandon the frustrations associated with setting up call forwarding.

The best part is Google Voice’s easy to manage interface that allows you to add and delete numbers. Here is another example…..Maybe you are on vacation in the keys, and are staying at a cool little beach house for a week. You can easily log into the Google Voice interface and add the beachhouse number to your call list. When someone calls you, it will ring any number you have set up so you can easily take the call from the phone closest to you.

Now I know what you are thinking! Who wants to take a call on vacation right? I know I don’t, but I do want to know if there is some sort of emergency. Here is where Google voice really comes through! When someone calls your Google Voice number, not only will it ring through to all the numbers specified, but it will also allow the caller to leave a voice mail. These voicemails when come through as a text message to your hand held device. That’s right! You can get the message via text and determine the importance of the call you you can go back to your vacation, or take a break and resolve an issue.

I used vacation as an example above, but what I really like is the ability to see what is going on versus hearing whats going on. Dialing my voice mail requires me to stop what you I am doing to listen. GV sends me a text so you I keep working and read the issue at hand.
